Free tobacco
quit tobacco services are available to all citizens
of Wyoming and Johnson County. |

- The Wyoming
Quit Tobacco Program is funded through the
Wyoming Department of Health and is
operated by the American Cancer Society. WQT
offers free or reduced cost nicotine replacement
products such as the patch, gum, lozenge, and
prescription medication (with a physician’s

- The
Wyoming Quitnet, also through the Wyoming
Department of Health is an online option for
cessation services and help quitting any form of
tobacco addiction. The Quitnet offers free
counseling and is designed to assist in
preparation for living tobacco free. The
program has materials and online chats to help
plan for any barriers to quitting and preparing
to combat triggers for relapse. The Quitnet is

There is also a
service available to youth in Johnson County.
The Tobacco Education Group and Tobacco
Awareness Program (TEG/TAP) is available through
a collaborative effort with Johnson County
School District Number One. Three school nurses
have been trained to facilitate TEG/TAP classes
for underage youth who have either been caught
using or possessing tobacco and/or those
suspected of using who are referred to the
program. These services are available through
Buffalo High School, Clear Creek Middle School,
and the Kaycee School.
